Necdet İPEKYÜZ, Member
Mr. İPEKYÜZ was born in village Salat of the district of Bismil in Diyarbakır province on 29th of June 1964. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of Akdeniz University. He started his career profession in Sivrice district of Elazıg province, and later on, went on working in both public and private health institutions as a medicine doctor.
Along with his profession as a medicine doctor, Mr. İPEKYÜZ undertook the post of being the General Secretary of the Medical Chambers of the provinces such as Diyarbakır, Mardin, Siirt, Batman and Şırnak and served as Medical Chamber President in Diyarbakır province. Later on, he served respectively under the titles as the Central Council Member of the Turkish Medical Association (TTB), and as the Board Member of Turkish Human Rights Foundation as well as the Founder and President of the Diyarbakır Political Social Research Institute (DİSA).
He carried out studies on Forced Migration, Infectious Diseases, Preventive Health, Health and Human Rights, and Coping with Social Trauma.
In 2022, he completed his Master's Science Program on Human Rights at Maltepe University with his work titled "An Examination of the Human Rights Action Plan Based on the Knowledge of the Concept of Human Rights and the Quality of Human Rights Education".
In the general elections held on 24th of June 2018, he was elected as Batman MP from the People's Democratic Party. He served as a member respectively of the “Constitutional Commission”, “Planning Budget Commission” and “Health, Family, Labour and Social Affairs Commission” in the 27th Term of Turkish Grand National Assembly.
