Duties, Powers and Liabilities
To plan the activities of the Supreme Council relating to press and public relations and to ensure that these activities are carried out in accordance with the established procedures and principles.
- To monitor written, visual, audio and online news, comments and criticism about the Supreme Council, informing the Supreme Council, making the necessary arrangements and follow-up for initiating proceedings on news requiring urgent intervention.
- To regulate relations with the press and media,
- To prepare press releases, press bulletins and press statements and sending them to relevant media organizations for publication.
- To work in coordination with the Legal Consultancy Department and other relevant departments on news items requiring a right of reply and correction,
- To take the necessary measures to ensure that news regarding activities such as meetings, conferences and seminars organized by the Supreme Council is communicated to press organizations,
- To evaluate requests made by press and media organizations to the Supreme Council for filming, interviews, programme invitations, etc., and carrying out the necessary procedures.
- To evaluate applications made under the Right to Information Act No. 4982, forward them to the relevant units, and take the necessary measures to conclude applications effectively, promptly and accurately,
- To evaluate applications made through the Directorate of Communications (CİMER) channel, forward them to the relevant departments, and take the necessary measures to conclude applications effectively, promptly and accurately.
- To manage official social media accounts.
