Department Introduction
In accordance with Article 10 of the Regulation on the Duties, Powers and Liabilities of the Radio and Television Supreme Council Organization and Service Units, the Department of Human Resources and Training carries out the activities of the Radio and Television Supreme Council relating to work and human resources planning and personnel policy. The department performs the procedures for appointments, transfers, personnel affairs, retirement, disciplinary matters, and the distribution and allocation of staff positions. Also, it conducts the necessary reviews and arrangements regarding the financial and social rights of the council's employees. The Department of Human Resources and Training carries out regulatory work aimed at determining performance evaluation criteria and professional principles. It organizes pre-service and in-service training programmes to increase the competence of the institution’s employees in matters within the scope of the institution’s mandate.
In addition the Department of Human Resources and Training is responsible for;
- Organizing seminars, symposiums, panels, conferences and training programmes for the education of managers and employees of media service provider organizations. And carrying out the book publication and library services of the Supreme Council.
- Carrying out the necessary activities for the dissemination of media literacy to all segments of society within the scope of Law No. 6112 on Radio and Television Broadcasting Services.
- Conducting the procedures for determining candidates for the position of Director General of the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation and for membership of the Board of Directors, and submits them to the Supreme Council.
- Examining the staff titles and numbers, salaries, applicable additional grades, and matters relating to the social benefits proposed by the General Directorate of the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation, and submits them to the Supreme Council for approval.
