Deniz GÜLER
Deniz Güler was born in 1980 in Ankara. He completed his high school education at Ankara Atatürk Anadolu High School and earned a bachelor's degree in Statistics from Gazi University, followed by a master's degree in Production Management and Marketing from the Social Sciences Institute of Gazi University. He is currently pursuing his doctoral thesis on "The Effects of Misleading and Deceptive Advertising."
Deniz Güler completed his military service between 2003 and 2004 as a second lieutenant in the Çıldır district of Ardahan. He began his professional career in 2004 as an assistant expert at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. After ranking 24th in Turkey in the KPSS exam, he qualified to work as an assistant expert at the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) in 2007. In 2012, he successfully completed his expert thesis on "Audience Measurement in Turkey and Related Issues" and passed the written exam, which led to his appointment as a Supreme Council Expert.
Between 2018 and 2020, Deniz Güler served as Deputy Head of the Department of Public Opinion Broadcasting Research and Measurement, and from 2020 to 2024, he served as the Head of the Department. During his tenure, he was actively involved in nearly twenty public opinion research projects related to radio and television usage habits, media literacy, and disinformation in Turkey. He also conducted studies on the determination and implementation of the principles for measuring viewership and listenership rates and participated as a speaker and panelist in various domestic and international events.
On February 14, 2024, Deniz Güler was unanimously appointed as the Deputy Chairman of RTÜK during a Supreme Council meeting. He is fluent in English, married, and has one child.
