A1. No, RTUK is only responsible for determining and supervising the principles and procedures of ratings of viewing and listening shares.
Q2.Which institution or organisation does undertake the measurement of viewing/listening ratings of audiovisual media services in Turkey?
A2. Viewing and listening measurement surveys are carried out by TIAK (TV Viewing Surveys Corporation) and RIAK (Radio Listening Services Organisation and Promotion Corporation) according to “Bylaw On Procedures And Principles Related To Supervising And Carrying Out Of Surveys On Viewing And Listening Rating Percentages Of Audio-visual Media Services”.

A3. You can complain about broadcasts to RTUK through three alternative means

Q4.What is the process of notifications about complaints, views and opinions concerning with broadcasts?
A4.Viewer and listener notifications (complaints, views and opinions) are investigated and classified according to number and content by experts of Public Opinion, Broadcast Research and Measurement Department. These notifications are classified as daily/weekly/monthly/annually reports, and then presented to Supreme Council with sociological and statistical evaluation. On the other hand, analysed complaints/notifications are forwarded both to the Monitoring and Evaluation Department and viewer’s representatives of the concerned broadcasters.
