“Workshop on Media Literacy and Turkish Language in the Digital Age” to be held in Vienna
Turks living in Europe will attend the event organized by the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) and Yunus Emre Institute (YEE).
Workshops on Media Literacy and the Turkish language in the Digital Age, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, have been organized jointly by the RTÜK and YEE.
The fourth venue of the workshop, which was held three times before in Brussels, Budapest, and Bucharest, has been determined this time to be in Vienna, the Capital of Austria. The workshop has been planned to sustain for two days between 26-27 March 2022.
Scientists and media professionals make contributions to the workshops preferably held in the provinces where the Turks living abroad are highly concentrated.
Metaverse will be talked on
At the meetings, how to handle media literacy in the digital age will be discussed in the sessions.
Deputy Minister of Family and Social Services, Assoc. Dr. Kübra Güran Yiğitbaşı will give a speech on “Family and Youth in the Digital Age”.
At the meeting, where Rıdvan Duran, General Manager of the Press Advertisement Institution, will explain "New Ways of Communication in the Digital Age" and the RTÜK Member Deniz Güçer will make a presentation under the title of "Changing Media in the Digital Age".
YEE Cultural Diplomacy Academy Coordinator Dr. Melih Barut will contribute to the Workshop by making his speech on “The Metaverse Effect in the Digital Age”.
Abant İzzet Baysal University Faculty of Education Lecturer Assoc. Dr. Adnan Altun will make a presentation under the title of "Media Literacy: How Do We Read / Are We Being Read?".
Attending the event, Prof. Dr. Kemal Sayar will address the participants with his speech on “Remaining Happy in the Digital Age”. At the event, Professor Sayar will sign his book entitled "Hatıraların Evi (House of Memories)" for readers.
While various panels will be held on the first day of the two-day workshop, fairy tale, game, and media literacy workshops will be organized for children on the second day.
